HOME FIREARM SAFETY - This is a 4 hours course which teaches the Knowledge and Skills, and explains the attitude necessary for safe handling and storage of firearms in the home. During this course the students will learn about the Rules for Safe Gun Handling, Unloading and Loading Pistols, Rifles and Shotguns, and Muzzle-loading firearms. You will learn about the different parts of firearms and learn about ammunition (construction, firing sequences and different calibers). The course will end with a discussion of proper care (cleaning) and maintenance of firearms.

In-home classes are available and suitable for all ages.

NRA SIMULATOR MARKSMAN - This is a 2 hour course to familiarize the student with firearm safety. The student will train with a semi-auto pistol while learning the rules of safe gun handling. The firearms are all equipped with the G-Sight Laser training device. This Indoor Laser Training device is great for dry fire practice. Review the video of the G-Sight Laser training device located in the SkyRaider Arms store tab.

NRA FIRST STEPS- First Steps are available in All Disciplines Rifle and Shotgun. This is a 3 hour course perfect for the person who just wants to learn about the firearm disciplines, but may not be familiar with Firearms. This course will teach the firearm owner the basic knowledge and attitude for the safe handling and storage of their firearm. All types of actions will be discussed during the respective discipline class in this course. The student can expect to come away with an understanding of the inner workings of their firearm as well as the skills necessary to safely handle, properly clean, maintain and store their handguns.

NRA BASIC TRAINING- These courses which will teach the firearm owner the knowledge, skills and attitude for the safe handling and storage of their firearm. Course length varies with Pistol (8 hours), Shotgun (10 hours) and Rifle (14 hours).

The Basic Pistol Shooting course can also be used obtain a Concealed Carry License from several states such as Florida, Wisconsin or several other states (Virginia) that only require basic training. I HIGHLY recommend additional training classes for concealed carry. 

The student can expect to come away with an understanding of the inner workings of all action types for the firearm discipline you choose, along with the skills necessary to safely handle and fire their firearm. How to properly clean and maintain their firearm is discussed in detail as well as demonstrated and performed by every student.

NRA RSO TRAINING This course trains the student in how to safely and efficiently run a range he is designated to watch over. Included are guides for how to handle unruly customers, emergency procedures, safely transferring a firearm, loading, unloading and clearing stoppages of firearms.
